Glen Clova Half Marathon
Clova - Saturday 12th November
Well done to all who attended - results HERE.
Photo's on the following page, contact us if you'd like a copy of any images.
Clova is a popular race at the end of season, weather can range from lovely sunshine, sideways rain to ice and snow. As for the course, it's picturesque and undulating, as already mentioned be prepared for all sorts of weather.
Parking is limited so car share where possible, changing facilities are available albeit small - if you could turn up in your running kit that'd be great.
Stovies will be available after the race, think you had to pay for tea and coffee last year? that's the Hotels decision not us.
Clova half marathon is an undulating route starting from the Clova hotel and taking a circular route, here's a map I found (thanks to the originator).
As we're out in the hills during November you can expect all sorts of weather ranging from ice, sunshine and sideways rain. I remember that year well, think someone had a sideline selling black bin bags as wet weather gear!
Race numbers to be collected on the day, please car share where possible and arrive dressed for the occasion as changing facilities are limited.
Post race will be something warm and stodgie to eat and by popular demand we'll have a mug in the goodie bag (and a few other treats?)
Like most races we have a set of sponsors - Albert Bartlet, Glen Clova Hotel, Sweatshop and the Outdoor Store in Forfar, not forgetting support from the Noranside crew.
