The Multi Terrain Race is a tough Half Marathon around the town of Forfar.

The race route contains a varied mixture of running surfaces from country park paths, tarmac, pavement, farm tracks, fields and bogs – and if the Scottish weather has any say, a water section which can be knee deep (and ice cold).​

The race route has multiple checkpoints along it where runners MUST get their race number marked by a marshal.
